The Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bataan presided by Vice Gov. Cris Garcia approved on third and final reading last Monday, the ‘Matatag na Pamilyang Bataeño’ Ordinance.
Gov. Joet Garcia requested for the immediate enactment of the ordinance.
The ordinance is in line with poverty alleviation measures, restating and updating existing assistance programs of the Provincial Government of Bataan, the eligibility of beneficiaries, and other program requirements.
The legislation will ensure assistance programs to be established are aligned to the needs of the beneficiaries.
The ordinance will integrate compliance with Community-Based Monitoring System data collection and completion of the Parent Effectiveness Service Program among the eligibility requirements for assistance programs of the Provincial Government of Bataan.
The SP Committee on Social Welfare and Development chaired by Board Member Iya Roque sponsored the ordinance.
